BIO

Lahib Jaddo was born in Bagdad in 1955 to Turkmani parents from Kirkuk and Tel-Afar. The first of five siblings, she spent her childhood in Iraq until her family was exiled in 1965 due to political reasons. She spent her formative years in Beirut, Lebanon. At the age of 22, she moved to the United States and continued her education in Architecture and Art. She settled in Texas to raise her children and become an artist.

Lahib is currently is an Associate Professor at the College of Architecture at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
