Budget to Turkmen areas allocated for first time

The chairman of the Iraqi Turkmen Front in the Iraqi Parliament said a portion of Iraqi budget has been allocated to the Turkmen areas for the first time.
Arshad Salihi, an Iraqi MP on the Iraqiya list said a portion of the 2012 Iraqi budget has been allocated to the Turkmen areas in Kirkuk, Salahadin, Diyala, and Mosul provinces. He observed that, “It’s the first time a portion was allocated to the Turkmen areas while approving the annual budget.”
Last week on February 23, the Iraqi Parliament approved the annual budget of Iraq for 2012 which was 117 trillion Iraqi dinars, equal to 100 billion USD.
